Sichuan Road and Waterway Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. has evolved from the first, second, and third Waterway Engineering Departments of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation, which were established in the 1960s. In 1993, these departments were merged by the Provincial Department of Transportation to form Sichuan Huaxia Engineering Corporation.
